Four things

The Ghetto Kids that won a Golden Buzzer at Britain’s Got Talent, 2023 are well known in the music entertainment scenes of Uganda. Now that they have won recognition at globally prestigious event, their fame in Uganda is, of course lifted some notches higher. Four things about them, which probably only Ugandans understand best:

1.    Leave their dancing skills aside, the kids exuded confidence that you feel riveting in you! See what confidence can do to children. Teachers! Parents! take note.

2.    Well, the judge didn’t know the rules of the golden buzzer but come on, who cares? It all got most appropriate and better, the golden cards pouring all over at the peak of the dance!

3.    The doll. The African banana fibre doll! That is the winner for me, and to think that am pondering ideas that touch on African dolls too. I hope shops will soon start filing up with banana fibre dolls made in Katwe, Uganda!

4.    Being associated with the words, “Ghetto Kids” will probably soon be a flattering statement for the classy, trendy urbanite. Let’s wait for the t-shirt branding!
