THE IDEA OF STARTING A POETRY ANTHOLOGY PROJECT WAS HATCHED IN THE CREATIVE WRITING FRATERNITY OF PMM GIRLS SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE EXCITEMENT WAS GREAT, WITH SABEENA BEING A FOREFRONT ENTHUSIAST WHO JUST COULD NOT WAIT TO SEE THE WORK DONE!
She is very modest about her contribution in the project and her creative prowess as an upcoming writer yet keenly aware of the value of creative writing.
“I am not a very good writer, but I do love to read things that touch my heart and poems just seem to do it best.
“… poems have feelings of a poet that touch the reader, and this is what made me think we should have an anthology that would allow students to share their feelings in the best way.”
Throughout secondary education, Sabeena exhibited strong leadership in propelling her peers (several of whom are part of this anthology) in beyond-classroom creative writing projects and the school’s magazine.
Her continued desire and dream are to give support to help more and more young people to realise their potentials in creative writing.
She is now in her A level vacation, enjoying her hobbies of watching movies and reading novels…
…and keenly monitoring progress of this poetry anthology project!
