I will Speak at the 18th eLearning Africa Conference, 2025.

I’m pleased to share that I will be speaking at the 18th edition of the eLearning Africa Conference, ”the continent’s largest and most influential event on digital learning, training, and skills development.” This year’s conference will take place from 7th  to 9th May 2025 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Since 2008, I’ve worked closely with the young people of Shadow Idol Youth Club, an initiative founded and supported by St. Francis Health Care Services in Njeru Town, Uganda. What began as collaborative, out-of-classroom learning activities with my students at PMM Girls’ School has evolved into a long-term mentorship journey. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing these vibrant young individuals grow, develop, and make meaningful contributions for themselves to their communities.

Information technology has been central to this work—especially through learner-driven multimedia projects designed to address local needs and challenges.

Founded in 1989, St. Francis Health Care Services started as a grassroots nonprofit focused on HIV prevention and care. It has since grown into a comprehensive institution supporting marginalized groups through community health programming and home-based care. Today, it continues to nurture young people, equipping them to lead change in their communities—many of whom are now harnessing technology to amplify their impact.

I’m honored to be part of this journey and to share our story at eLearning Africa 2025.

My topic: “Leveraging Information Technology for Transformative Youth Empowerment and Community Impact.”

Date: Friday 9th May 2025

Wish me luck!
